Brunswick County is soliciting sealed bids for the purchase of parts and equipment associated with a direct replacement of the existing Amiad Water Systems – Arkal Galaxy Spin Klin Disc Technology Filter at the West Brunswick Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant (“WBRWWTP”) Drip Site located in Supply, NC. Brunswick County will utilize County personnel or existing subcontractors for all labor or other services associated with the replacement of the parts and equipment. More detailed specifications are set forth in the Instructions to Bidders included herein.
The WBRWWTP is a 6.0MGD non-discharge WWTP that produces reuse quality water that is utilized in several different applications throughout the County, including, without limitation, golf course irrigation, silviculture irrigation (both spray and drip irrigation), etc. The WBRWWTP “Drip Irrigation Site” utilizes the Amiad Water Systems – Arkal Galaxy Spin Klin Disc technology to filter the reuse water prior to drip irrigation. The original system was installed in 2003, and the filter train within the system needs replacement. Amiad Water Systems has evaluated the existing system and has provided recommendations for direct replacement of the filter train within the existing system utilizing the 14-4 S.K. Galaxy Filter Poly Bat.
